Kickboxing Academy - Martial Arts
Empower Academy is the place to learn the Martial Art of Kickboxing. In these classes you will be taught Martial Art technique, strength, fitness, discipline and confidence. Students will build skills to pass gradings and earn their next colour belt.

Monday:
5:30pm - 6pm 5 - 7 years
6pm - 6:45pm 8 - 11 years
7pm - 8pm 12 years - Adults
Kickboxing Fitness
Leave your everyday worries behind with a Kickboxing fun fitness class. No experience necessary! Empower yourself while getting fit! Kickboxing is a fun, high-energy way to stay in shape, learn self-defense skills, and have a blast at the same time.
Kickboxing Fitness class: Thursday 7pm at The Vine in Gulf Harbour
Self safety workshops
Empower Academy periodically runs self safety workshops. Instructor Tara Ruff teaches attendees how to identify threats and potential conflict and how to prevent these instances from becoming dangerous situations. The workshops also include:
How not to be a victim
How to be less intimidated
How to react to an attack
Simple effective strikes
Verbal de-escalation
Total empowerment

Instructor: Tara Ruff
Ms.Tara Ruff is a 1st Dan blackbelt instructor in Martial Arts Kickboxing. Tara has trained in kickboxing for over 13 years and has been instructing for 8 years. Tara is currently training for her 2nd Dan blackbelt. Originally from the UK Tara now calls Gulf Harbour on the Hibiscus Coast home.
